Oct. 25, 1981- Kansas City improved its record to 6-2 by defeating the Raiders for the second time in three weeks, 28-17.
Oct. 25, 1987- San Diego easily defeats the “real” Chiefs in their return game from the strike, 42-21. Carlos Carson has 197 receiving yards in the loss.
Oct. 25, 1992- The Chiefs are embarrassed by the Steelers at Arrowhead, 27-3. The loss leaves Kansas City’s record at 4-4.
Oct. 25, 2001- The Colts defeated the Chiefs on a Thursday night at Arrowhead, 35-28. The loss was the team’s fourth in a row and dropped their overall record to 1-6. Trent Green threw three touchdown passes, and three interceptions, in the game.
Oct. 26, 1980- The Chiefs defeated Detroit at Arrowhead, 20-17, marking their fourth straight victory.
Oct. 26, 2003- The Chiefs routed the Bills on Sunday Night Football, 38-5. With the win the Chiefs improved to 8-0 on the season.
Oct. 27, 2002- The Chiefs defeated the Raiders at Arrowhead, 20-10, snapping a five game losing streak to their rivals.
Oct. 28, 1991- Kansas City came from behind on Monday Night Football to beat the Raiders, 24-21. The win improves the team’s record to 6-3.
Oct. 29, 1977- Chiefs fullback Omar Easy was born.
Oct. 30, 1966- Otis Taylor caught five passes for 187 yards as the Chiefs rolled to a 48-23 win over Houston at Municipal Stadium.
