Chiefshuddle.com: First off I want to say what a personal pleasure this is to conduct this interview with you and I thank you and Domann & Pittman LLC for taking the time to make this interview possible.
Chiefshuddle.com: What would you like to say to the Kansas City Chiefs’ fans now that you are a New England Patriot?
Monty Beisel: It’s tough leaving, especially since I was born and raised in Kansas. But it’s time to move-on and it’s the best thing for my family and my career. I will miss the Kansas City Chiefs’ fans, they’ve been so loyal and supportive, I couldn’t have asked for more.
Chiefshuddle.com: How would you describe your four years in the NFL with the KC Chiefs?
Monty Beisel: It’s been outstanding. It’s been everything I could ask for. Playing close to home, being able to play in front of my friends and family. It’s going to be tough leaving the Kansas City organization and fans.
Chiefshuddle.com: What was it like to play for the Dick Vermeil?
Monty Beisel: Playing for Dick Vermeil has been an exceptional experience. He’s an individual that is so unique… no one else in the league is like him. He’s more like a father sometimes than a coach. I wish I could stay with him until the end of my career. I’ve already thanked him for all he’s done for me. We’ve already wished each other the best of luck. He’s truly excited for me.
Chiefshuddle.com: What most excites you about playing for the New England Patriots?
Monty Beisel: I’m excited about the opportunity to play for the New England Patriots, but most importantly to make an impact and to continue the winning tradition that the Patriots’ fans have come to know the past three years. The thing that excites me the most is the people. In the process of going to New England, I met with the coaching staff, and it just seems like an outstanding fit both for the type of player I am and my personality.
Chiefshuddle.com: Once again, I appreciate your time today and good luck with your new team.
NOTE: Monty and his wife are on a previously planned vacation and will not available for further comment.
