[Kansas City.com] Dick Vermeil called it the best week of offseason workouts in his five years in Kansas City, and the Chiefs cut loose Thursday with “Hat Day.”
Larry Johnson wore a Santa lid. Jared Allen lined up in a bicycle helmet and skin-tight biker shorts. The end of the third week of practice was slightly wacky, but Vermeil said it was very productive.
“The focus and concentration, the tempo with which we’re working is good,” he said. “They’re having fun. They’re staying within, they’re not hurting each other but learning and working at a tempo that we can get better.”
