[KC Chiefs.com] Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that the club has agreed to terms of a one-year contract with free agent WR Az-Zahir Hakim. As per Chiefs policy, no further terms of the agreement were made available.
Hakim (5-10, 178) has played in 92 games (37 starts), catching 265 passes for 3,555 yards (13.4 avg.) with 26 touchdowns and rushing 30 times for 197 yards (6.6 avg.) with a touchdown. He has also returned 131 punts for 1,513 yards (11.5 avg.) with three touchdowns and three kickoffs for 37 yards (12.3 avg.). Hakim played in seven postseason games (one start) with St. Louis, recording 21 receptions for 284 yards (13.5 avg.) and four carries for 24 yards (6.0 avg.). He has also contributed 11 punt returns for 149 yards (13.5 avg.).
