[KC Chiefs.com] Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with free agent DE Clint Mitchell. As per Chiefs policy, no further terms of the agreement were made available.
Mitchell (6-7, 257) originally entered the NFL as the first of two seventh-round draft choices (227th overall) by Denver in the 2003 draft. He spent the past two springs playing for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe. He saw action in 20 games (13 starts) for the Admirals, recording 43 tackles (36 solo) and 6.0 sacks (-34.0 yards). He was a member of the Admirals squad that claimed a 27-21 victory in World Bowl XIII vs. Berlin.
