[KC Chiefs.com] Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Friday that the club has agreed to terms of a two-year contract with 2005 seventh-round draft choice (238th overall) T Jeremy Parquet. He is the first 2005 Chiefs draft choice to reach a contract agreement with the club. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

Parquet (6-6, 321) appeared in 44 games (39 starts) during his four-year collegiate career at Southern Mississippi. The tackle had 208 knockdown blocks during his final three seasons. Parquet earned second-team All-Conference USA honors his senior season as he helped the offense score 25.8 points per game.
