[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms of one-year contracts with free agents CB Dewayne Washington and LB Dave Moretti. As per Chiefs policy, no further terms of the agreement were made available.
Washington will be entering his 12th season in the NFL. He originally broke in with the Vikings in 1994 and has also spent time with the Steelers and Jaguars.
Washington has played in 175 games in his NFL career, recording 829 tackles, a sack and 31 interceptions for 569 yards with five touchdowns.
Moretti played in 10 games for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe in 2005. Moretti entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Oakland in 2003 and has also spent time with the Browns, Packers and Titans.
