[Topeka Capital-Journal] The Chiefs have been without three potential contributors to their defensive line in recent days.
DT/DE John Browning, who Vermeil continues to call the team’s best defensive linemen, has been slowed by back pain. DE Carlos Hall, an offseason acquisition from Tennessee, has an elbow tendon problem that keeps him from fully extending his arms. And DT Junior Siavii, the team’s highest draft pick last year, continues to miss time with swelling in the knee.
RB Samkon “Sam” Gado was carted off the field Friday afternoon after taking a blow to the head. Head coach Dick Vermeil said Gado had a neck burner, but that extra precautions are always taken with a head/neck injury.
RB Priest Holmes practiced for the first time Friday afternoon after sustaining a blow to the head in a Tuesday night workout.
