[KC Chiefs.com] LB Derrick Johnson continues to show flashes of why he was drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. During Tuesday morning’s practice, he dashed in front of a pass thrown by QB James Kilian. The defense was in a cover two zone and Johnson was nearly 20 Yards downfield when he picked off the pass.

“When you can move like he can move there are no limitations to what he can do,” head coach Dick Vermeil said. “He can catch up to the football as it travels. I don’t know if he can run faster than the football’s flying but he can get there. That’s why he was the number one pick and why I can say he’s got tremendous athletic talent and skill.”
