[Kansas City.com] Lawrence Tynes shanked a field goal attempt from just inside 45 yards Tuesday, and Vermeil has been somewhat concerned with Tynes’ inconsistency.

Last year at this time, Tynes was in a heated battle with veteran Morten Andersen. This summer, Tynes is the lone kicker in camp. When asked after Tuesday’s practice if he plans to bring anyone in to compete with Tynes, Vermeil said he didn’t know.

“I get disappointed when I see him miss one every day,” Vermeil said. “It worries me. We’ll see how he does in the preseason.”
