[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that the club has made nine transactions in order to comply with the NFL’s first mandatory cutdown deadline. The Chiefs have trimmed their roster to 75 players, including 10 NFL Europe roster exemptions.
The Chiefs placed LB Shawn Barber on the Physically Unable to Perform List (PUP) and FB Robert Holcombe on the Reserve/Injured List. The club also waived T Thomas Barnett, WR Nathaniel Curry, S Shaunard Harts, WR Darrell Hill, P Nick Murphy, S Willie Pile and WR Richard Smith. Each team must finalize its 53-man roster on Saturday, September 3rd and can create an eight-man practice squad beginning on Sunday, September 4th.
