Browning Back at Practice

[Kansas City.com] John Browning returned to practice Monday, and the quiet defensive tackle gave a thumb’s up.

“That’s a long conversation for John,” coach Dick Vermeil said.

Browning missed about a month’s worth of practice with a back injury, but Vermeil hopes he can play in Sunday’s season opener with the Jets. Browning would provide some depth to the defensive line, backing up Lional Dalton on the right side.

The Chiefs have received some other good news on the injury front. Wide receiver Dante Hall (knee) is expected back in practice today, and 10-time Pro Bowl guard Will Shields, who was bothered by back problems for most of training camp, appears to be much better.
