[NFL.com] One look at the injury list is enough to keep the Kansas City Chiefs ‘ 27-7 victory over the New York Jets in sobering perspective.
Four starters went down, including Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Surtain who suffered a concussion and 10-time Pro Bowl left tackle Willie Roaf who left the game with a hamstring injury.
Also out was Pro Bowl fullback Tony Richardson with what was described as a knee sprain and defensive tackle Ryan Sims with a foot injury.
Coach Dick Vermeil indicated Surtain, Sims and Richardson would not be out long. He said he doubted Roaf would be ready for next week’s game at Oakland.
