[Kansas City.com] Cornerback Patrick Surtain, who left Sunday’s game early, practiced Wednesday and will play against the Raiders.

“He practiced well today,” coach Dick Vermeil said. “He made an interception. He does that almost every day. I should be mad because it’s our quarterback throwing it.”

Three other injured starters – defensive tackle Ryan Sims, offensive tackle Willie Roaf and fullback Tony Richardson – did not practice. Reserve cornerback Dewayne Washington, who replaced Surtain last week, also did not work.

Vermeil said Todd Collins would be elevated to No. 2 quarterback against the Raiders. Offensive tackle Kevin Sampson practiced, and a decision on his availability will be made later in the week.
