[Kansas City.com] Kevin Sampson, the second-year lineman who won the starting job at right tackle this summer, will play Sunday but won’t start, coach Dick Vermeil said.
Sampson has been out because of a turf-toe injury but practiced Friday. He’ll back up Chris Bober at right tackle. Bober is playing for Jordan Black, who moved to left tackle after Willie Roaf suffered a hamstring strain Sunday.
Black returned to practice Friday after a bout with the flu.
Also Friday, cornerback Dewayne Washington participated in some light tempo work. Washington is listed as questionable for the Raiders because of back problems. If Washington can’t go, safety William Bartee will be the Chiefs’ fourth cornerback.
