[Kansas City.com] In Monday night’s blowout loss to Denver the Chiefs saw their renovated defense punctured for 221 rushing yards, and their spotty pass protection had quarterback Trent Green running for his life most of the night.

But head coach Dick Vermeil feels the flaws the team showed are correctable.

“I don’t think there’s anything there,” Vermeil said, “that isn’t correctable.”

“There are things we can grow and learn from,” Vermeil said. “We actually got better as the game went on.”
