[Kansas City.com] Vermeil said he recently talked to receiver Freddie Mitchell, who was released before the season because of knee problems.
Mitchell said he’s at about 80 percent, but the Chiefs have no immediate plans to add him to the roster because they don’t have room.
“It would be hard to bring Freddie back, although I respect Freddie’s ability,” Vermeil said.
