[Kansas City.com] Ten-time Pro Bowl left tackle Willie Roaf practiced in pads Wednesday for the first time since last month’s hamstring strain, and right tackle Kevin Sampson was expected to be in Kansas City on Wednesday night. Sampson was hospitalized last week in New Jersey because of dizziness and shortness of breath. He was delayed late Wednesday because of canceled flights.
Roaf’s three-week absence floored the Chiefs. They’ve gone 1-2 since he’s been out of the starting lineup, and quarterback Trent Green has been harassed and hit repeatedly.
Roaf was healthy enough Wednesday to participate in nine-on-seven running drills.
“He did a good job,” Vermeil said. “I think he was pleased with his work. We limited his reps.”
