[Kansas City.com] One week after Eric Warfield wasn’t activated for the Washington game – which caused an uproar among fans – he started Friday at right cornerback.
It was the first action for Warfield since the 2004 season, when he was considered the top player in the secondary. Warfield missed the first four games this season because of an NFL suspension for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He didn’t suit up last week because the coaches didn’t think he was ready.
That changed late Sunday when cornerback Dexter McCleon went down because of a groin injury.
