[Kansas City.com] Sunday capped a great weekend for the Chiefs.
After a hectic day of travel on Friday, which included a 30-20 victory at Miami, the Chiefs got to spend Sunday like the rest of us: watching the NFL on the tube.
And they had to like what they saw.
First, the Eagles shut down Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson and came away with a 20-17 victory thanks to a touchdown off a blocked field-goal attempt late in the game.
That made the Chiefs’ hold on second place in the AFC West a little more secure.
Then the Giants rallied from a double-digit deficit and beat the division-leading Broncos 24-23, pulling the Chiefs just a half-game behind Denver.
