[Kansas City.com] The Chiefs went back to practice a day early, and a rather lengthy list of players weren’t ready to go.
Left tackle Willie Roaf sat because his hamstring was bothering him, Vermeil said. He expects Roaf back in practice today. Also missing practice were cornerback Dexter McCleon (groin), receiver Samie Parker (knee), defensive tackle John Browning (back), defensive tackle Ryan Sims (foot), and safety Jerome Woods (hamstring).
Vermeil said Woods is expected back in practice today.
Also Tuesday, right tackle Kevin Sampson practiced at full speed. Sampson has been out since being hospitalized for severe dehydration earlier this month.
“He was weak, his fundamentals were terrible, but he’ll catch up,” Vermeil said.
