[Kansas City.com] Defensive tackle Sims had the cast on his foot removed recently and is back in team meetings, Vermeil said.
That means it’s possible Sims, a starter in the season opener against the Jets, could be back sometime next month.
“He’s making progress,” Vermeil said. “(The doctors) are a bit optimistic right now that we can get him back. But I want to see it before I believe it.”
“If he can get back to his football playing shape, at least he can make an impact in the rotation. He’s not going to be what he was in the opener. He was a dominating player in the opener.”
