[Kansas City.com] Head coach Dick Vermeil said Tuesday that running back Priest Holmes is back in Kansas City and was at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday.

Holmes is expected to be around the rest of the season to support the team and help the running backs.

On Monday, he chatted with Vermeil and president and general manager Carl Peterson.

“He’s down,” Vermeil said. “Hey, I’m down about it. And the squad is down about it. The organization’s down about it.”

“He’s an institution. He’s ’31,’ that’s who he is. It’s all over this building.”
