[KC Chiefs.com] The NFL informed the Chiefs on Tuesday that RB Larry Johnson has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Houston Texans last Sunday.
This is the first time in his career he has been chosen for the award.
Johnson carried the ball a career-high 36 times for 211 yards with two touchdowns, as the Chiefs produced an impressive 45-17 win at Houston. Johnson’s 211 yards rushing established a new franchise single-game record, surpassing the previous mark of 200 rushing yards by Barry Word.
