[Topeka Capital-Journal] Head coach Dick Vermeil said left tackle Willie Roaf, who has missed six of the team’s 10 games and played only two series in the season opener before injuring his hamstring, felt good in a Monday workout with team trainers and is expected to be available for a full practice Wednesday.

CB Patrick Surtain’s ankle injury is not the dreaded high ankle sprain that can take up to a month to heal, Vermeil reported Tuesday. Surtain still must be considered very questionable against the Patriots.

DT Ryan Sims, out since the season opener with a major foot injury, will take some practice snaps with the scout team this week as the next step in his return to live action, which probably won’t come this week.
