[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms of a three-year contract with CB Alphonso Hodge. To make room for Hodge on the roster, the Chiefs have released DE Khari Long from the 53-man roster and have added him to their practice squad. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Hodge joined the Chiefs as the second of the club’s two fifth-round picks in the 2005 NFL Draft. Hodge spent the first 10 weeks of the season on practice squad after being released prior to the start of the regular season.
Long appeared in one game for the Chiefs over the first 10 weeks of the season after joining the team as the club’s second of two sixth-round picks in the 2005 NFL Draft.
