Chiefs Players of the Game: Patriots

Each week during the 2005 season I will choose an offensive, defensive and special teams player of the game. Here are my selections for the Chiefs after their big win over the Patriots:
Offense: QB Trent Green
Green turned in his best game of the season, completing 19 of 26 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown. Green showed what he was capable of when given adequate pass protection, something he has been missing the last few weeks (thank you Willie Roaf). Green led the Chiefs to scores on their first five possessions of the game, and he connected on five pass plays of 20 yards or more, including a 52 yard touchdown pass to Dante Hall in the third quarter.
Defense: S Greg Wesley
Hours after predicting he would pick-off three passes in the game, Greg Wesley did just that, intercepting Pro Bowl quarterback Tom Brady three times. Wesley finished the game with three tackles and an assist.
Honorable mention has to go to CB Eric Warfield who led the Chiefs with 9 tackles and an assist and seems to be playing better each and every week.
Special Teams: K Lawrence Tynes
Tynes tied an NFL record by connecting on four field goals in one quarter, hitting from 25, 20, 33 & 47 yards respectively.
