Sims, who’s been out since week one with a foot injury, will do some one-on-one work in pads against the rookies after practice today.

“It wouldn’t be fair to put him in the ballgame and say we’ll find out if it’s OK on Sunday,” Vermeil said. “If he’s ready for Sunday, then we’ll try to have him active. He’s certainly paid his dues. He’s kept his weight down to actually a few pounds less than he was when he got hurt.”
