[WIBW.com] Jackson County, MO, voters will vote April 4, on a 3/8 cent tax to pay for most of the $575 million in improvements at the Truman Sports Complex.
The state of Missouri will pay $50 million through tax credits, while the Chiefs kick in $75 million and the Royals spend $25 million. Parking costs will rise to go toward a pool of money to maintain Kauffman and Arrowhead stadiums in the coming years.
The updates include triple the number of restrooms in Arrowhead, mostly for women. The Chiefs will add 117 new suites and a new Hall of Fame. Kauffman will improve its outfield area for fans and add fountains.
