[Kansas City.com] The latest Kansas City coaching rumor involves president/general manager Carl Peterson meeting Jets coach Herman Edwards in New York last week to talk about the future.
Peterson chuckled at the rumor Thursday and said: “No, I didn’t. He was in Miami (the Jets played the Dolphins). I’ve had no conversations with him.”
Peterson said he’s always thinking ahead about future players or coaches, but nothing has been decided about Dick Vermeil’s future. Vermeil, 69, is in the last year of his contract. He’s said he’ll figure out his plans at the end of the season.
