[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms of two-year contracts with a total of six assistant coaches. As per club policy, no further terms of the agreements were announced.
Edwards announced that Gunther Cunningham will return as Kansas City’s defensive coordinator and that Mike Solari has been promoted to offensive coordinator after spending the past nine seasons as the club’s offensive line coach. Other members of the Chiefs offensive coaching staff include Dick Curl (assistant to the head coach/offense), Charlie Joiner (wide receivers), James Saxon (running backs) and Terry Shea (quarterbacks). Tim Krumrie (defensive line) also was added to the defensive staff.
