[Kansas City.com] Chiefs defensive back Greg Wesley was arrested earlier today after he allegedly threatened to punch a tavern bouncer on the Country Club Plaza.

The incident occurred about 12:30 a.m. at Blonde, a contemporary lounge that opened last year at 100 W. Ward Parkway.

The bouncer said Wesley lunged at him twice with his fist raised in the air as if to hit him. A witness told police he restrained Wesley from going inside or attacking the bouncer, according to the police report. Wesley then left.

Officers found Wesley at another club a few blocks away. Officers took him to a patrol station, where they cited him with “attempt to inflict injury,” a city ordinance violation. His court date was set for May 2. Wesley had to post $500 bond.
