[Kansas City.com] On hold just weeks ago, the roof for the Truman Sports Complex was suddenly resurrected Thursday by Jackson County officials, creating a new twist in stadium talks that already are pushing their deadline.

The roof was inserted in the leases Thursday just hours before they were given to county legislators, who will meet today to scrutinize the agreements as part of a plan to call an April 4 election to overhaul the stadiums. The roof would require a second tax on the ballot.

Jackson County Sports Complex Authority chairman Mike Smith said he was excited county residents could vote on a roof, which would bring a Super Bowl to Kansas City.
