[Kansas City.com] Will Shields will be around Arrowhead Stadium sometime next week to work out. What happens after that is anybody’s guess. Shields reiterated Wednesday that he won’t decide his future until early March, when free-agency begins.
“I’m still hanging (out),” Shields said Wednesday night as he attended the KU-Nebraska women’s basketball game in Lawrence. “It’s not going to be some revelation. It’s not going to be that big of a deal.”
For more than a year, Shields, an 11-time Pro Bowl guard for the Chiefs, has been pondering retirement. He has battled arthritis in his knee and back.
