[Kansas City.com] Ty Law was officially cut in New York on Wednesday, and the Chiefs are expected to be one of several teams that are interested. Law, who had 10 interceptions with Edwards in 2005, visited Kansas City during the free-agency period last year.
Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham declined to comment on the Chiefs’ possible interest Wednesday. “I can’t really say anything because I would be stepping out of my role,” Cunningham said, “and I don’t want to do that.” Edwards and Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson were traveling to the combine Wednesday and were unavailable for comment.
