Collins Signs with Skins

[Kansas City.com] Todd Collins’ eight-year run as Kansas City’s reliable backup is over. Collins agreed to a two-year deal with Washington on Tuesday, his agent, Brad Blank, said.
Collins is joining former Chiefs offensive coordinator Al Saunders in Washington, and his departure leaves a big hole on Kansas City’s quarterback depth chart. Collins, 34, was Trent Green’s backup for five years. But it didn’t equate to much playing time, as he completed just 18 of 27 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown.
Kansas City’s only backup with NFL playing experience is Damon Huard. Two other quarterbacks on the roster – seventh-round draft pick James Kilian and CFL star Casey Printers – have yet to take a snap in the NFL.
