[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs offensive lineman Will Svitek earned All-NFLEL honors at left tackle after serving as a key component of a Frankfurt squad that led the league in both total offense and rushing offense. Svitek was also part of a Galaxy blocking unit that paved the way for Frankfurt RB Roger Robinson, who set a league single-season record with 1,087 rushing yards.
A native of the Czech Republic, Svitek is in his second season with the Chiefs after being selected by Kansas City in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft. A product of Stanford University, Svitek has benefited greatly from his playing experience in Europe, starting nine contests at left tackle for Frankfurt. He worked primarily as a defensive end during his collegiate career and was a member of the Chiefs 53-man roster for all 16 games a year ago as a reserve offensive tackle.
