[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms of two-year contracts with free agent G Tyler Lenda and WR Scott McCready. The club also agreed to a one-year contract with FB J.R. Niklos. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.
Lenda (6-3, 293) comes to Kansas City as a free agent after spending the previous three years with the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe.
McCready (6-0, 200) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with New England in 2001. He has spent the past five seasons (2002-06) in NFL Europe playing for the Scottish Claymores (2002-03) and the Hamburg Sea Devils (2004-06).
Niklos (6-2, 229) joins the Chiefs after spending the last two seasons with the Frankfurt Galaxy (2005-06). He had 93 carries for 340 yards (3.7 avg.) with four TDs during his stint in Europe.
