[KC Chiefs.com] The Chiefs announced those players they had designated as Physically Unable to Perform, otherwise known as PUP, for the start of the team’s 2006 training camp.
Those players on this year’s list limiting their practice are as follows:
S William Bartee
DT Ron Edwards
TE Aaron Golliday
CB Alphonso Hodge
RB Priest Holmes
CB Marcus Maxey
DT Junior Siavii
DT Stephen Williams
In making the announcement, team president Carl Peterson explained just what a player placed on PUP means. “In simplistic terms the players are on your roster,” Peterson said, “they do count, but they are allowed and are supposed to be in camp and in meetings unless they’re excused. They work out with our trainers; they’re on the field at practice watching the other guys. They just can’t practice with them in any team activities.”
