[Topeka Capital-Journal] Rookie Tamba Hali, a defensive end from Penn State, drew a chorus of oohs and ahs at the Chiefs morning practice on Saturday.
On a running play during 11-on-11 drills, Hali drilled rookie guard Peter Hayer, a free agent acquisition from Germany who didn’t play college football, knocking him several yards into the backfield and off his feet.
Hali has been working primarily with the first-team defense. Veteran Eric Hicks has been running with the second unit.
Guard Brian Waters sustained a mid-foot sprain on his left foot during the morning practice session on Saturday and is day-to-day. He did not practice in the afternoon.
