[Kansas City.com] Heading into Saturday’s preseason opener, the Chiefs still have plenty of question marks at wide receiver. It’s a position that will be watched closely by Herm Edwards this weekend, and, with two weeks of camp over, the only three knowns are Eddie Kennison, Samie Parker and Dante Hall.
Those three had the top spots locked up well before camp. Quarterback Trent Green said Thursday that Parker is having the best camp, and predicted he could be a 1,000-yard receiver.
After that, the last two jobs are up in the air, but Green said he’s been impressed with Jeris McIntyre, a practice-squad regular.
“He’s been here the longest, he knows the three different receiver positions and he can fit into any of those three spots the best,” Green said. “He’s probably made the most argument to be the fourth or fifth guy. In terms of the younger guys, Chris Hannon, Jeff Webb – those two guys have a lot of talent. Those two guys just need to learn the playbook.”
