[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Wednesday that FB Ronnie Cruz underwent knee surgery this week and has been placed on Injured Reserve. The club also agreed to terms of a two-year contract with free agent FB Greg Hanoian and added TE Keith Willis to the practice squad. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreements were made available.
Hanoian joins the Chiefs as a free agent. He spent training camp with the N.Y. Giants in 2006 after signing with the club on January 17th. He was allocated to NFL Europe by the N.Y. Giants for the 2006 season, attending training camp with the Rhein Fire.
Willis joins the Chiefs after attending training camp with Seattle this season. He was allocated to NFL Europe, spending the 2006 NFLEL campaign with the Frankfurt Galaxy catching 18 passes for 290 yards and one touchdown.
