[KC Chiefs.com] Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that the club has claimed CB Marcus Maxey off waivers from Chicago.
Maxey returns to Kansas City after originally entering the NFL as the Chiefs fifth-round selection in the 2006 NFL Draft. Maxey will play under the terms of the original three-year contract he signed with the Chiefs on July 20th. Peterson also indicated that the club had added CB Michael Bragg to the club’s practice squad.
Maxey was released by the Chiefs on September 29th and was subsequently claimed off waivers by Chicago. He was on the Bears 53-man roster for four games and saw duty in one contest.
Bragg returns to the practice squad where he spent the first four games of the 2006 season before being promoted to the 53-man roster. He saw action in four games, totaling two special teams tackles. Bragg initially entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the N.Y. Giants in 2005.
