[Kansas City.com] Maybe it’s the short week, but Herm Edwards was in a feisty mood on Wednesday when the Chiefs resumed practice indoors.
Edwards suggested that Larry Johnson’s postgame comments Sunday night about some not-so-creative play calling might not have been run in their entirety. Asked if he saw the full video of Johnson’s interview, Edwards said, “I don’t want to hear the videotape. I talked to Larry. That’s good enough.”
The Chiefs’ offense has managed just one touchdown in the last two games. Johnson was held relatively in check Sunday at San Diego, and Kansas City lost its third straight. Edwards said Johnson was frustrated by the developments and “said some things.” He hinted that the media were making too much of it.
“He’s fine, we’re fine, everybody’s fine,” Edwards said. “We’re good. There’s no problem, guys. Trust me. There’s no problem.”
