Time for my 2cents. I was excited when we got Herm, but after watching the HBO training camp program, I lost faith in him. Sure it was edited for entertainment value, but we all saw him keep some players that wouldn’t have made it in arena football. Drummins? Come on. Then his game decisions. The FG kicker missed a kick, which they do so then he compounds the problem with a review(loses a TO) and then going for it on 4th and long when we were in FG range. WE LOST TO THE RAIDERS!!!! Then he cuts the kicker, but he keeps over paid players like Surtain. This guy blows big plays every game! CUT HIM!

I am rooting for Herm. I’m hoping he can turn it around, but if he can’t, then Cower would be a great replacement. GO CHIEFS!

A winning record next year? Dude you gotta gimmie some of that stuff you are on. I LOVE this football team, but that doesnt stop me from seeing the writing on the wall. We will not make the playoffs for at the very least 2 more years. It will take that long just for the draft class to develop. You have lost your mind. It hurts to even think what our final division standings will look like. And about this whole Al Saunders thing, he is the BEST offensive coach in the nfl today and as a chiefs fan you should know that, no matter what happened with the deadskins last year. That one fine day you speak of is the day we chiefs fans watch herm and queen carl get kicked out of town. Then we can start rebuilding the rubble that was left behind by this “plan” that never seems to work. Next your going to say that this IS all Vermeils’ fault. Listen, put down the pipe, come back to reality, and return to bitterness with the rest of Arrowhead, cause its gonna be a while before we see any kinda bowl. I root so hard for the players, but our front office is wreck. I loved Trent Green, and to be honest, I do wish he was ridin the bench for the chiefs. I dont believe he is worth that much money, but good on ya trent. He wouldve been perfect to help the youngster along.

What did Al Saunders do for the Redskins? Jack Sh!t. I think Croyle will be a great QB for us. Yeah Huard needs to go, but it wasn’t all his fault man, he was mauled because of our O-Line. Your downing Chan Gailey?! Your crazy dude. Dennis A, your just stupid so I won’t even bother talking to you. But as for Chiefswarpath and Dave S, Herm is taking us back to being a defensive team and that takes more than a year to do when we were nothing but Offense. Herm will get our defense back to the way it used to be. And Dave it will not take 3 to 5 years. Chiefswarpath and Dave S chill boys. What you said just sounded bad, I have no question you are loyal Chiefs now. This homeboy isn’t living in a cloud, I know it’s frustrating. We’ll get there one fine February day, and glory shall be restored in KC. Some of you will disagree with me and hell that’s okay, but Herm WILL be the one to take us to the promise land. MARK MY WORDS.

And to comment on my loyalty, I have loved this team since the time I could walk. My dad has had season tickets for the past 15 years. Times have not always been good, but I’ve been there. I’m still here now!! And I have never felt so concerned about the team until now. I believe in rebuilding, but free agency has made this league more competitive for all teams. I think rebuilding doesn’t have to take 3 to 5 years with some quality free agents and the right person calling the shots we don’t have to be this bad. We are far enough under the cap to get some real help out there. But Herm has a plan!!!!! I will never turn my back on this team, But I will voice my concerns. So please don’t question my loyalty Chief Tom, were not grade schoolers out on the playground deciding who’s dad is the strongest! GO CHIEFS SCREW HERM!!!

Chief Tom, Herm took us the playoffs his first season with a 9-7 record, Vermeil may have also taken us to the playoffs only once, but he did lead the Chiefs to a 10-6 record his last season, we just didn’t make the playoffs.

I would argue that the Chiefs were the worst team in football at the end of last season. I think the Dolphins and Rams would have beaten us if we would have played them the last 8 weeks of the season. Does that make me a fair weather fan? I don’t think so. I’m just calling it as I see it. I don’t like the direction this team is headed, and I think it will be 3 to 4 years before this team is able to contend for a playoff spot again. I just feel bad for our best player who will be on the downside of their careers by then.

cheif tom…..are you looking through rose colored glasses or what?? it you think Herm can take us to a super bowl i think you are smokin crack. yes, Herm in his first year as head coach took us to a play off game. but it wasn’t “his team”, and besides what waa the outcome?? WE LOST!!! Herm Edwards is a piece of crap coach!! just look what he did last year with “his” team!! just keep smokin crack and everything will be ok. Dave S is right on this one….we SHOULD be expecting more out of this orginization!!! if we accept mediocre teams, we will get just that!!

The quality group I’m talking about is Al Saunders and Terry Shea along with Green and Bulger. Tell me again that is not a good group. I suppose you would rather have Huard Croyle and Gailey!!!!! The Rams were poor last year but stepped up by getting Saunders. Maybe you’ve forgotten what kind of offense he put on the field. If anything should offend you, it shouldn’t be guys like me who expect more out of a professional organization. It should be the mess we’ve got going on and the lavk of trying to fix it.

Yes, I am a fair weather fan. I have just been thousands of hours and thousands of dollars on this CHIEFS website. But I’m not really a fan.

I feel that the Chiefs treated Green like crap last offseason and I don’t blame him one bit for asking for a trade.

Dave S. and ChiefsWarpath.com what kind of Chiefs fans are you guys? Certainly not the kind me and thousands of others are. Trent Green is glad to be out of this organization?! What?! We have one bad year and our organization is shambles?! Don’t you two think it’s a little early to jump the gun? So what, Trent Green cries and says he wants to leave KC, because he doesn’t want to compete for the starting job and goes to Miami. Boy, that really helped him out (sarcastic) he went to the Dolphins, got his head knocked off and went 1-15 on the season. And now he’s going to the Rams. Guess what that’s going to get him? He’s going to be back-up to Marc Bulger and ride the bench because Herm was right, he’s used up. Don’t get me wrong, Trent was awesome, but he’s waaaay past his prime now.
Dave S. What the hell do you mean “That’s a quality group”? They were second to the worst team last year(the Rams), actually probably worse than the Dolphins, because the Dolphins have to play AFC teams like the Patriots twice a year and other great AFC teams. The Rams suck and there O-line was just as bad as ours last year. If Trent gets to play because of Bulger getting injured then look for Green to get creamed too. You two sound kind of fair weather to me. Everybody is freaking out and downing our organization, chill out fellow Chiefs I guarantee that we will be back on track this year and at the very least end the season with a winning record. Nobody was downing Herm last year when he took us to the playoffs his first year with us. Guess what Dick Vermeil only took us to the playoffs one time too, and how many years was he with us? Herm will do better, it’s Carl Peterson that kind of worries me, but by no means is our orginization a clusterf#*%. As a loyal Chiefs fan I take offense to that.

Hopefully he will do well and be able to stay healthy. Trent was the 2nd best QB to play for the Chiefs, he put in a lot of good years, but I’m with you…he’s probably glad to be out of here.

That is a quality group right there. Trent is aging but he will be a great asset to their organization. I wish him all the luck in the world. I bet in hind sight he is glad to be out of this organization, being the clustef@#ck that it is. GOOD LUCK TRENT!! We still love ya.
