Well i disagree a good defence helps a lot but if you cant score points you cant win look at the last super bowl if NY could have scored on that last playyhe would have won

Well, I can’t wait to see what the Chiefs do with their 5th pick in this year’s draft. I will make a prediction today, and I don’t like to make predictions. But, I will put it out there that the Chiefs will draft MATT RYAN
of Boston College on Saturday. My reasoning for making this prediction is that the Chiefs are in a rebuilding stage, and we need a franchise Quarterback. Notwithstanding, that we need Offensive Lineman, Cornerbacks, Wide Receivers, and a Defensive Line. Now think about this. If the Chiefs can be stupid enough to get rid of Jared Allen, then why wouldn’t we be stupid enough to draft a Quarterback, instead on an Offensive or Defensive Lineman. Even more interesting is the fact that drafting a franchise Quarterback (which MATT RYAN is supposed to be) in an NFL draft is the most difficult task of any. And let’s not forget Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler, Jim Druckenmiller, and Andre Ware !!!
All I can do is remain confident that WE WILL OVERCOME !! Does anybody agree?

Defense wins championships only by giving a good offense more opportunity to suck the life out of an opponent. When the score is close anyone can win with one score, but an inability to score when down by ten or more points is what makes defenses win championships.

Every game in 2007 that the chiefs won was because of its defense. I would also add half the games we lost were because of defense (all home div games, GB, Lions, Tennessee) one or two because of special teams (chicago) and the rest were all lack of talent on offense. Our defense was very good last year but if defense wins championships then offenses can lose them. Our biggest problem on defense was our offense.

I don’t like the philosophy of score early and score often it is too much like college football. When you score you must put pressure on the your own defense. The vermiel era did not require any pressure on the defense to win games except in the last five minutes with scores in 30′s and yards above 400 for each team. The chiefs need to scare opposing offenses at and be able to score points on the road. Our defense will be the staple, but we must give Brodie what he needs to succeed, and not just ask him to try his best lead a bunch of 30 plus years old. Give a man a chance and he might ask for a second, if you give a man an opportunity he will use it wisely because it is his last. Thats the NFL there are no chances only single opportunities. There is nothing that Brodie did that upset me any more than when Trent Green came to town an starting throwing two INT a game. The problem was coaching and offensive line. If we give Brodie at least three receiving threats and four seconds to throw he will get 4,000 plus yards. Larry of course will be Larry if Gailey is wise in his run timing. I believe Gailey will show Chiefs fans what a smart offense is not a risky one like old Dick.

I totally disagree with the Chiefs letting Jared Allen go. The previous statement is true. Also, Chiefswarpath is also right about Greg Wesley not being a sure tackler. Our Chiefs are really confused right now, and I don’t know if some of the bad things that I’ve heard about Herm are true. My friends in Jersey say that he can ruin a team. But, Carl Peterson has his hand all in the cookie jar too. I don’t know what to think at this point. There’s an old saying that “You expect the worse and hope for the best.” That’s where I am with it. I was going to write another article about a defensive draft pick, but I think that I’ll wait to see where Carl and Herm are headed with this idea of letting Jared Allen go. P.S. I don’t think that Jared Allen really wants to be a Chief. Hint.

Wesley is a hard hitter, just not a sure tackler. He is known for trying to knock a guys head off, and he sometimes gives up big plays because he has trouble deciding when to go for the big hit and when to make the sure tackle.

Greg Wesley hasn’t hit anything but his wife in the past 4 years. You guys obviously don’t know that the Chiefs have lost 5 games over the past two seasons because the ‘hardhittin’ Wesley couldn’t tackle the guy with the ball.
