I think Herm has done a pretty good JOB so far in the draft. Look at Jared Page, Demarcus Tyler, Turk McBride, Tambi Hali, D-Bowe, Benard Pollard, Jarrad Page, not to mention UFA Tyrone Brackenridge. So Im looking forward to see what he accomplishes when he draft for mainly offense.

I still think the Chiefs are quietly transferring to a 3-4 defense which is linebacker driven. Thats why I think we signed Demario Williams.

Am I the only guy who has a job. You guys are on here all day(I’m jealous). I liked Hoss, but bottom line 15.5 sacks only equated to 4 wins! Marty ball we had a great D and no O, Vermeil days we had the best offense and no playoff wins. We need a balanced team. We are rebuilding through the draft and that will not produce more than 5 or 6 wins next season, but 2009, 2010. WATCH OUT! Maybe Cower will have the reigns. Bowe will be the best receiver in the game but, poor Tony “Boom Boom” Gonzalez will be retired, but hopefully LJ has some life in him. I can’t wait. I think I’ll save my Sunday Ticket money in 2008. I’m a true fan, but gas will be $4.00 a gallon this summer! Does anyone realize the Raiders are picking ahead of us? They will take who ever we were planning on taking. BASTARDS! 2 first rounders. Remember who our last 2 first rounders were? Maas and Alt. Not bad. I’m an out of state Chiefs fan and its late and I’m just rambling on. Good luck Carl. May the force be with you.

We will see. Personally I dont agree with this whole deal. How can you trade off a Pro Bowl player and hope to get lucky on draft day, especially with Carl Peterson controling things. We saw what he did last year with the kicker from UCLA, his pick! There are a lot of College studs who dont amount to squat in the NFL, no matter how high they draft! I figure three years ought to tell the tale. There are no guarantees in the draft, none! Ive been a Chiefs fan for forty years, remember watching Super Bowl IV, the great battles between them and Oakland and it all seems like a distant memory. If I dont see a team that can compete for a title in three years, then Carl Peterson and Co. should be run out of town, Period.

I’m a Chiefs fan from Vegas since we don’t have a team. I’ve been a true fan for 16 years. Every year, I travel to San Diego or Arizona when Chiefs play at their stadium. Three years ago, San Diego was filled with red jerseys. People there were actually pissed to see as many red jerseys as they saw blue. Hmmm California, don’t they have three teams. Whether the Chief are good or bad next year…I will support them always…Go Chiefssssssss

I think this is a great deal! Are we going to find next year’s sack leader with any of our picks? Probably not. But keep in mind that he wanted out! It wasn’t like Peterson traded him just to get more picks…he simply answered Jared’s demands AND got the Vikings to give up more than they should have.

I would love to see Chris Long taken at #5. Much better than Gholston or Ryan - they will be busts in the NFL, mark my words.

13 picks and from what I hear we are talking to maybe New England or Jets to switch pics in the first round and get additional pics in the 2nd or 3rd rounds…

Finally he is gone. What a relief!!!!! The first thing he probably does is buy him and his buddies shots at the bar in Minnesota and attempt to drive to his oversized mansion drunk before getting pulled over for a DUI. Then get suspended for the season. Im tired of going onto CHIEFSWARPATH.COM hoping and praying that I dont see this guys name on the page about another DUI. He is good but is his alcohol problem worth the risk. A first and two thirds is a clear indication that he is not worth the risk……..ESPECIALLY HIM BEING A FOURTH ROUND PICK. What a steal!!!!!! Now all we have to do is cash it in. I just cant stop thinking about guys who overplay during contract season and then underperform or get hurt. Just to name a few……LJ, Priest Holmes, Jamal Anderson, Dwight Freeney, Jeavon Kearse, Damion McIntosh, Vonnie Holiday, Patrick Surtain, Eddie George, Larry Brown (ROTFLMAO @ SuperBowl MVP),Duante Culpepper, Eric Warfield…..etc the list goes on and on. Long story short, thanks for the DRAFT PICKS JARED ALLEN.

here are some facts people…..king carl was hired to do one thing, fill the stands and make ownership money (playoff wins and superbowl wins do not have to factor in this equation to make money). he was successful at that and that is a simple business plan. but on the other hand he has done as much damage to the chiefs than he has done good. there is an old saying, “even a blind pig can find an acorn every now and then”, meaning with all the draft picks over king carls tenure, odds are you are going to get a couple of “keepers”. i agree we could not pay jared the kind of money he got from the vikes. but it appears we are putting a lot of our eggs in one basket (1/4 of team rookies). you need constant influx, and the right mix of veterens and rookies to remain on top of this league. the key here is the right mix!! this year we will have to many unproven rookies to be competitave (my opinion). further more, if you want to get managements attention, you have to hit them where it hurts…….the pocket book!! remember, although this is a game, it is formost a business!! like any business, we the consumers of this product, should have alot to say about the direction the team is going through our dollars. i am frustrated enough that i dropped my season tickets this year. and before you all say i am not a true fan, you can get off that bandwagon, because i hate to see the chiefs in such a mess!! that IS managements fault!! i just dont want them to think i approve of the direction this team is going, so I choose not to spent my dollars at arrowhead anymore until I see it is worth it! i just dont want management to get the wrong message.

I like what i see in a few mocks that have us takin Dorsey or Gohlston and then using our extra third round picks to help trade up in front of denver and takin Clady still too, haha that would be so aweomse! F*ckin donkey’s.

Allen didnt want to be in kc. He said he woundnt sign a longterm contract, so dealing him now when we can get good compensation makes sense to me. I think the chiefs have drafted much better since herm came to town (bowe,tyler), so Im excited to see who we get. The colts & pats were two of the lamest teams for a long time until they had some good drafts,so relax.
