agreed... the only reason i brought chase up is cause they were bashing him... and i dont know why.. and everything they said was totally off.. and it had to be said.. but the second part of the discussion is solid.. i think we can win 8 games with the schedule.. i mean if larry plays every game.. we win 8.. and have a decent pick next year to get a qb or oline.. which ever is our week point.. maybe a corner

The problem I have with Chase Dainels is this: He's good, no doubts there, and if there any KU fans out there trying to put his talent down, think about this: Dainels definitely better than KU's quarterback, Todd Resceing (spelling wrong). HOWEVER, I feel like Dainels is more of a prototypical backup NFL QB than a franchise starter. Now, that doesn't me he'll never get a starting gig in the League, but I don't think he's going to be leading anyone to a Superbowl. This is all ameatre speculation though, and it doesn't matter the Chiefs season at hand.

What does matter is this: Our rookie class is looking strong, and I think we're going to have a good season of figuring out just where we stand, even if we only win 6-8 games. We'll get a clear read on Croyle, develop and gel our offensive line, and give Flowers a season to grow and make mistakes without a playoff run being on the line. (Probably)

I really like that we picked up Octavien. I grew up in Nebraska and over the last few years had an opportunity to go back home and watch him play. That guy was all over the field! He always seems to be in position to make a tackle. I’m surprised he didn’t get drafted, but good thing for the Chiefs he didn’t. He’s a hell of an athlete. Good pickup, Chiefs.

If Croyle turns out NOT to be the guy, then I go after a QB who fits the mold, not one of these Doug Flutie wannabe's. I want a Brian Brohm size QB, sure would have been nice to draft him for at least some good competition. I would have liked that, but I'm still happy with what did happen, can't complain.

I agree, give Croyle a chance. He did not have a chance to do anything last year. You usually dont when your busy running for your life. I mean Huard got knocked out early, and Trent was obliterated the year before. You cant expect any QB to do good in that situation.

Oh yeah, by the way. I don’t want any part of Chase Daniels unless we get him as a unsigned free agent after the draft. I want no part in a QB who reminds me of Eric Zeier in height.

Me either. Leave Chase where he is at.

For the most part, I can't argue with our draft. I was disappointed to see the Colts take both the best 2 Centers in the draft (2nd Round and 6th Round). I know we picked up some dude via free agency but I really don't know anything about him. I am pretty confident with our 2 OL picks. So the only area on our line I am concerned with is Center.

Great job with our first 4 picks. Jamaal Charles is our backup and eventual replacement for LJ.

After watching highlights of th TN TE and the Clemson OL, I am very impressed. They are taking huge players that are super athletic.

Although, I hate Missouri, I can't argue with the WR pick. Hopefully, he can fulfill the 2nd WR position, which makes him our 4th option on offense.

In the Orange Bowl, Flowers dominated for a stretch. Should be very good.

A on the draft. Now, who is going to teach Herm how to coach this talent? Hopefully he stays away from the offense so we can score some touchdowns.

Sorry but Brodie Croyle is horrible. I'll gladly stick my foot in my mouth if it turns out that he isn't.

Flimsy, injury prone, dumb QB. Not a good decision maker.

Give Brodie a change to succeed (which he didn't have at any time in 2007) and you will see a pretty special player. I think there's some serious work left to do on the offensive line, but if we can piece together something that fits, this team could make a run at the division.

Everybody has cried and moaned we have made no attempt to change the team. Well here you have it. This is a completely different and younger team. I think Carl learned his lesson aged and experience may not overcome young and talented. Its a hard lesson to us old farts. The quaterback is one person that we can go out and get via a trade or off the wire. I tell you right now put the proper cast around any NFL worthy QB and it can be magical (e.g. Tom Brady).

I also feel that Andre woodson wood have been a great pick I was waiting and hoping. Sixth round, come on that guy did alot with little. I like the first three picks I but after that I think most of those guys wood have fallen. J. Charles we have LJ and Kolby Smith. There where still good corners and possible line men not to mention Andre Woodson.

OK Croyle may end up being the starting QB but what would it have hurt to take a QB? Andre Woodson threw 325 consecutive passes without an INT and before that he threw 125 without and INT all while in the SEC (one of the top conf. in college football if not the top). Oh and not to mention the 70 TDS to 18 picks, and to say drafting one of these QB's would have been reaching everybody the Chiefs took after Jamal Charles is a reach. The Packers took two QBs and the guy they have ain't too bad (make him earn it). The TE from Central FLA. Mike Meritt could have not been taken I'm quite sure he would have still been there after the draft, and even if he wasn't Gonzalez has at least 2 more yrs. So instead of taking the TE. from Tenn. Brad Cottman with the 13th pick in the 3rd rd. They take a QB and with the last pick we take Meritt. They take all these RB's and they already got two studs but that Ok and the questinoable QB they'll give him the job...? Another guy that could have been left for free agency was the safety, DaJuan Morgan from UNC. (and if you didn't know they have two of them that are pretty good as well), but don't get me wrong I'm not saying these guys will suck I just feel that a signal caller was just abit more important than a TE. or a S.

I really like that we picked up Octavien. I grew up in Nebraska and over the last few years had an opportunity to go back home and watch him play. That guy was all over the field! He always seems to be in position to make a tackle. I'm surprised he didn't get drafted, but good thing for the Chiefs he didn't. He's a hell of an athlete. Good pickup, Chiefs.

What's up with dumb fans in here always pissin' and moanin' because we didn't get a QB??? Who cares!! Sit down, shut up, and relax!!! My God, you act like a QB is the ONLY thing we needed. My guess is you're a closet Donkey's fan trying to insinuate an argument amongst us. Go back to your Terrell Davis bobblehead dolls and indulge in that for a few.

(Brushes the haters off) ;)

GO CHIEFS!!!! A+ Draft!!!

Don't worry about quarterbacks. Fans have not been given the proper opportunity to see what Croyle can do. He was put in an offense last year that allowed 55 sacks (tied for league high), had their #1 threat (LJ) hurt, and were trying to run a passing game with Eddie Kennison hurt, putting more pressure on Dwayne Bowe and Croyle. If we're in a rebuilding season, then there is no time better than now to see what Croyle is capable of. He can throw it a country mile- let's see if he can protect it as well. Don't worry about next year's draft class, until we've seen how this one performs. I don't think that Herm and Chan Gailey would stake their jobs on a QB that didn't have potential to manage the team.

We don't need a quarterback. Croyle is good he just needs people to block for him. I'll support him, he has a rocket arm too. Thigpen is alright, he has good decision making but he doesn't have a very strong arm..but to be honest I couldn't throw any better so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Haha. Look at all these wide receivers...me like a lot!!!
