People continue to say preseason doesnt mean anything, but it does. The teams that win in the preseason are those that have depth. It shows how good your recruiters are in finding young talent. This does not mean that all good teams have depth, but as far as injuries go team with depth can recover from this and still compete. This is also were you find hidden jewels passed on in the draft. New England loost all their games, but still are #1 in the power rankings. All this means is that their starting lineups are great, but their depth sucks. If they loose enough key guys to injury they become just average. This is the same for most teams as well, but a strong depth chart certainly can help recover from this.

I’ve got a piece of advice for you – when you’re both done making out with Bob Gretz, get back to me about how many games you think we’re going to win this year.

I’ve been a Chiefs fan for 30 years. Nothing wrong with a little dissent especially if Peterson is going to ask for 25 freaking’ dollars just to PARK MY CAR.

I can see the Chiefs picking up a WR off free agency. Herm has said so. Ashley Lelie is out there and the Chiefs could use some more talent at WR.

Our RB’s were more talented than our WRs and we decided to keep more of them it’s not like if we don’t go five wide we won’t have charles in the slot and tony G. out wide anyway. We don’t need a decent 5th string receiver that will not develop anymore. I wanted Sippio on the team but his cousin D Bowe is more of a leader when it comes to the NFL. Sippio will probably get picked up by another team hurting for decent fourth receiver.

Man! Hold up. They kept Devin Darling and cut Sippio. Comment #22 is right on the money. You forgot to add that most teams are so focused on the SPEED of a wide receiver rather than understanding the defense they are playing against and finding a way to get open.

Devin Darling = Sammie Parker. Sometimes you have to forget about the speed of the receivers. Marcus Colston ran 4.64 40 time and from what I heard Marvin Harrison time wasn’t so fast either. The first 20 yards is what makes a receiver good. Did you know that Eddie Kennison was drafted before Marvin Harrison. How about last year when Calvin Johnson was drafted before D-Bowe and we see who had the better season. Malcolm Kelly was supposed to be a top 15 pick but was dropped all the way to the second round because of his speed.

Well, not all of them survived. There are 22 of them that will have to come off the roster by 3 oâ€™clock Saturday afternoon. And veteran returner B.J. Sams did not survive, as he suffered a hamstring pull which complicates the roster picture and certainly his immediate and long-term future.

They better have something up their sleeve though b/c alot of people will be upset about that Sippio move. I hate to keep going back to it but when you have competition at the WR spot and cut a guy making catches, i dunno. Like one of the other dudes before said, the coaches know more than we do.
