Brandon Carr, Kansas City’s fifth-round draft pick out of Division II power Grand Valley State, will start his second NFL game, but first in regular defense. Carr, KC’s third cornerback in the nickel defense, opened the New England game when the Chiefs came out in a three-corner defense.
“We anticipated this might happen sometime this year,” Edwards said of playing two rookie corners. “This makes us the youngest secondary in the league (with two third-year safeties), but the good part is, these guys will be playing together for a long time.”
thats great they will be playing together for a long time. but that means nothing, right now they are gonna get recognized as the youngest and get tested hard. and as soon as one of them excells we will give them up for another draft pick or because they dont want to sign back on to another losing season. so how long are they really going to be playing together “werm”

Honestly apachepride how can anyone like the direction this team is headed? The youth movement thing sounds great, but they need to figure out a way to get young AND WIN, other teams have done it. How can you even say that you like what you have seen these past 2 weeks? 9 points a game thats what we are averaging this is’nt baseball it’s football 9 points will get you nothing except a big L. i am everything chiefs, and i am not gonna get over it like apachepride and herm want me to do. this is my team, give me a chance and Ill coach it better than anyone but gunther right now. i play enough madden, and have watched every game since i was in grade school (30 right now)thats more film than edwards has obviously watched, kinda makes me more qualified. no matter what i will be watching every sunday waiting for the turn around, but clark and apachepride need to get over the frustrated fans talk and do something about it.

You guys are fucking ignorant? you talk about 0-11 but those loses came with different teams then you talk about 05 a team that went 10-6 with the two best rushers in the league with one of the best lines in history. The fact we only won 10 games that year is a shock. There is no one in free agency that could help us win the most games over the next five years then the players we have. In the NFL it is all about development. Few players come out of college and actually play let alone start or make plays. If they do it usually is another teams mistake more than that players excellence.
If you knew anything about life you would know that nothing is what it appears. Do you really think that you could do a better job than Herm. I understand your pain on the whole not getting your money’s worth for tickets, but thats the price you pay when you sign on for a team in construction. Thinking that somehow if you get enough people to ask for Herm to leave that it will happen, well just look at Pres.
